Couple tries to kidnap teen girl, pull her into car on busy street in broad daylight: Police searching for suspects

Police are searching for a man and a woman suspected of an attempted kidnapping earlier last week in New York City.

CBS New York reports that a 15-year-old girl was walking in the Greenwood Heights area of Brooklyn on Friday afternoon when a dark SUV pulled up next to her. A man and a woman were inside the car, and the woman started a conversation with the teen girl. While they were talking, the man allegedly jumped out of the car and grabbed for the girl, trying to push her into the SUV.

The girl was able to break free and run away, but the area is on high alert as the suspects got away, before anyone was able to capture their license plate number.

The late model, dark-colored SUV was caught on surveillance images.
