Woman admits to slitting sister’s throat, cutting off her hand, while kids at home and family attends funeral: Cops

Police said a woman in England has admitted she murdered her sister, leaving behind a gruesome scene. Officers said she stabbed her sister to death at their family’s home and cut her hand off while her four children slept upstairs, the Daily Mail reports.

Caseworker Sabah Khan, 27, allegedly slit the throat of her sister, Saima Khan, 34 (pictured). Investigators said it all played out while family members were at a funeral service.

Officers have concluded Sabah Khan virtually cut through her sister’s neck and severed the her hand in the brutal attack.

Sabah allegedly left Saima slumped in a pool of her own blood in a hallway of the home.

The attack reportedly happened in May 2016.

Investigators were initially called to the scene in response to a possible burglar who had carried out the killing.

Saima Khan reportedly relocated to England from Holland and moved in with her sister, parents, children and her cab-driver spouse.

Neighbors described her as a ‘quiet, but friendly lady,’ according to the Daily Mail.

Sabah Khan, ordered by a judge to remain in custody, now awaits sentencing, which is scheduled for Thursday.

The Daily Mail reports that, if convicted, she could be sentenced to life in prison.

The investigating officer reportedly described the act as “a horrific crime,” adding “this is any family’s worst nightmare – it is beyond comprehension for the family to hear that one daughter has brutally murdered another. It has been a horrendous ordeal for them and we are pleased that we have received the guilty plea today … We continue to support the family, I’m not sure there can ever really be a closure, but what I do hope is that after sentencing they can hear what happened that night and start to move forward.”
