A Louisiana mom is determined to make sure her son understands that getting suspended from school will not be tolerated at home.
Fox12 reports that Demetris Payne, of Shreveport, wanted to teach her son, Jadarien, a valuable lesson after he got suspended from school for three days. Instead of grounding him, she made him go outside and clean other peoples’ yards….for free. She posted her son’s services on social media and the response was so overwhelming that the boy stayed busy for days.
“My son has been suspended for three days from school for discipline. He will do your lawn service, he will rake your yard, mow if you supply the mower, pick up trash, or wash your car for free. Maximum three hours. If anyone has a rake they would like to donate will be awesome.”
First yard complete 😂😂😂 He thought I was playing… 😀😀

Payne wrote that she had to make out a schedule for her son to keep track of all the requests.
“He’s booked up for this weekend, so it’ll be next weekend. I got so many requests from buy, sell, and trade that I have to make a schedule.”
The hard work, Payne hopes, will pay off. Jadarien returned to school and made out a plan with his teachers to help him succeed and keep him on track. Yet, should he get in trouble again, Payne already has her own plan set in place.
“Instead of two yards a day, he is going to be out there until dark doing it.”
