‘They call me ugly. They say I have no friends’: Tearful boy’s plea for bullies to back off takes the Internet by storm

A video posted by the mother of a young boy in Tennessee has thousands of supporters rooting for the child after he made a heartbreaking confession that kids at his school relentlessly bully him.

“Just out of curiosity, why do they bully? What’s the point of it? Why do you find joy in taking innocent people and finding a way to be mean to them?” Tennessee boy Keaton Jones asked his mother, Kimberly Jones, as she recorded her son while he described how bullies at his school treated him. “It’s not okay!”

“What did they say to you?” Kimberly Jones asked.

‘They make fun of my nose. They call me ugly. They say I have no friends,” Keaton replied.

“What did they do to you at lunch?” his mom asked.

“Poured milk on me and put ham down my clothes. Threw bread at me,” Keaton said.

Kimberly Jones posted the video on Facebook and supporters from all over the nation replied, offering Keaton words of encouragement and praising his bravery. As of Sunday, the video has been viewed over 17 million times.

“My kids are by no stretch perfect, & at home, he’s as all boy as they come, but by all accounts he’s good at school. Talk to your kids. I’ve even had friends of mine tell me they’re kids were only nice to him to get him to mess with people,” Kimberly Jones added.

“We all know how it feels to want to belong, but only a select few know how it really feels not to belong anywhere.”
