‘Real Housewife’ Bethenny Frankel sues for custody of young daughter after long battle with ex-husband Jason Hoppy

Bethenny Frankel is suing for custody of her seven-year-old daughter, the latest in a continuing battle with her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Frankel and Hoppy have had a contentious divorce, and last year she took out a restraining order against him after he allegedly threatened and harassed her. In October, Frankel offered Hoppy a deal in court that she would drop the harassment and stalking charges against him if he met the conditions of a “stay away” order preventing him from contacting her for six months.

Among the conditions of the “stay away” order, which is similar to a restraining order, Hoppy was not permitted to be at his daughter’s school when his ex-wife was present.

The New York Post reports that Frankel is now suing for custody of her daughter, Brynn, and re-opening the divorce case against Hoppy on December 6. It is unclear what prompted the renewed action, or what additional terms Frankel may be seeking.

Attorneys for both Frankel and Hoppy declined a request for comment from the New York Post.
