Headed for divorce? Matt Lauer’s wife Annette Roque meets with high-powered attorneys

Matt Lauer’s wife Annette Roque appears to be preparing for some kind of legal actoin with one of Manhattan’s priciest law firms.

Page Six reports that Annette Roque, the ousted Today show host’s wife of two decades, was seen visiting the law offices of Latham & Watkins in Manhattan — reportedly the highest-grossing law firm in the country as of 2017.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Roque’s father told a British newspaper that he expected his daughter would be filing for divorce following numerous sexual misconduct allegations and reports of habitual infidelity. Roque had previously filed for divorce from Lauer in 2006, when she was pregnant with the couple’s third child. citing “cruel and inhumane” treatment. She withdrew the filing a short time later.

According to Page Six, Lauer offered her multiple millions of dollars and a post-nuptial agreement in 2006 in order to end divorce proceedings.

The post-nup will likely specify how much Annette would get if they divorce, but she is expected to challenge it given Matt’s earnings since 2006, and given how he has humiliated her,” a source told Page Six.

“There are also issues over all the property and land they own, both in the Hamptons and abroad.”

For year, Lauer and Roque are believed to have been living somewhat separate lives, with Lauer in Manhattan during the week while Roque remains at their Sag Harbor, Long Island, home.

Representatives for Lauer did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
