WATCH: Murdered mom with online double life seen on surveillance camera just hours before mysterious death

An Alabama woman found dead earlier this month in mysterious circumstances was seen on surveillance camera in the last hours of her life, appearing to be in a celebratory mood.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Kathleen West, 42, was found dead just outside her Calera home in the early hours of January 13. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, but police are reportedly treating it as a homicide.

West was married and had a 12-year-old daughter. She also had a online alter-ego, “Kitty Kat West,” and sold access to racy photos on the internet. She reportedly idolized Marilyn Monroe and channeled the legendary actress in her glamour shots.

Inside Edition obtained surveillance camera footage of West and a man who appeared to be her husband at a liquor store just hours before she was found dead.

“They came in, it looked like they were on their date night,” Stacey Oglesby, a clerk at the liquor store, told Inside Edition.

“They bought a bottle of Jameson and a bottle of Lucid absinthe and made their purchase and went on their way. Everything was normal.”

A bottle of alcohol was found next to West’s body, along with her cell phone, on January 13, and she was wearing only a sports bra. She was reportedly bleeding from her head.

West’s friends and family do not appear to believe there is any connection to her death and her online activities.

“I wish for everyone to stop trying to connect online photos to her passing,” Sandie Kay, a friend of West’s from an online group called The Cougar Club, told Inside Edition.

“It is not like that. It doesn’t necessarily mean indiscretion. They’re just pictures!”
