Cops arrest ‘7th Heaven’ star Jeremy London for domestic violence

An actor known for his roles in several popular big- and small-screen projects as well as his off-screen struggles with sobriety has been arrested in Mississippi on suspicion of domestic violence.

According to the New York Daily News, 45-year-old Jeremy London was in the front yard of his wife’s Jackson County home when police responded to the scene Friday evening.

London, whose filmography includes “7th Heaven,” “Party of Five” and “Mallrats” among others, was booked into jail and is expected to face one criminal count of domestic violence simple assault.

In a statement to TMZ, Dominic Friesen spoke on the actor’s behalf to explain that the incident was rooted in a disagreement between London and his wife, Juliet.

As Page Six reported, the Londons have been married since 2014. They do not have children together.

The couple is said to be handling the matter privately.

Friesen attempted to downplay the arrest, calling it “standard protocol in an attempt to diffuse an emotionally charged situation.”

According to the spokesman, the ordeal was an “isolated incident.”

London, however, has previously faced similar allegations.

Following a fight with Melissa Cunningham, his estranged wife, in 2012, he was arrested for allegedly pulling her hair and hitting her on the head.

Charges stemming from that allegation were reportedly dropped the following year. London and Cunningham, his costar on “7th Heaven,” divorced in 2014.

A recovering addict, London was among the troubled stars to appear on the reality television series “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.”
