Former child star knocks his mother down and steals her car after argument: Cops

Police in Los Angeles arrested 34-year-old Jeremy Sylvers on suspicion of grand theft auto following a complaint by his mother.

According to TMZ, “law enforcement sources” confirm the actor who starred as a child in the 1991 horror film Child’s Play 3, Sylvers was arrested Saturday at his home, a day after an argument with his mother allegedly ended when he knocked her down and drove off in her vehicle, a 2002 Honda CRV.

Reports indicate the argument stemmed from the mother’s refusal to give Sylvers a ride.

Following the incident, Silvers’ mother reportedly contacted authorities to report her son. When officers arrived at his home on Saturday, they took him into custody.

He is expected to face charges including a felony count of grand theft auto.

Saturday’s arrest would mark the latest brush with the law for Sylvers, whose public record as an adult is less impressive than his childhood credentials might predict.

In 2014, an ex-girlfriend reportedly obtained a temporary restraining order against him following what she described as abusive behavior.

Octavia Taylor claimed Sylvers became belligerent at a party and exposed his genitals before urinating on other guests. He also allegedly tried to start multiple fights.

Following the party, Taylor said he referred to her using a string of demeaning and obscene names.

The legal move by his ex required him to stay at least 100 yards from her, except when they were in common areas of the apartment complex at which they both resided at the time.
