‘I did not go the whole way’: Woman who filmed herself while performing sex acts on a Labrador avoids jail time

A British woman who filmed herself engaging in sexual activities with a Labrador learned inside a Livingston Sheriff Court on Friday that she would avoid jail time.

Edinburgh Evening News reports that Suzy Cairns, of West Lothian, who reportedly admitted to possessing photos of violent child pornography, was adamant that she didn’t have sex with her dog. She did admit to engaging in other forms of sexual activity with the canine, including photos of sex acts with the dog involving whipped cream.

‘There was no intercourse with the dog, and that is what was implied. What’s said is that I had sex with the dog and I didn’t.”

Cairns previously pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing pornographic material. She’s required to register as a convicted sex offender, as well as stay under under social work supervision for three years, which is considered a “community payback” and an alternative to serving time in prison. Her Internet activity will also be monitored; she’s required to make no contact with any person under the age of 16.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, authorities searched Cairns’ home in 2017 and found her cellphone, which contained a video of Cairns engaging in a sex act with a yellow Labrador Retriever. According to Prosecutor Jim Robertson, the act “appeared to be self generated involving the accused and her pet dog.”

Robertson said the same dog was present in the home last March, when the raid took place. Authorities also found the child abuse images they were initially looking for; the investigation began after Scotland’s Cyber Crime Unit saw her IP address used to obtain indecent images of kids.  Although none of the images showed “penetrative sexual activity” with the children, police did find photos and videos of kids that depicted some sort of sexual activity.

“She was interviewed and a mobile phone was seized and examined,” Robertson explained. Indecent images and other images were found within the phone. She was interviewed and made various admissions at that time.”

With evidence stacked against her, including over 100 images of children engaged in sexual activity, Cairns pleaded guilty to two felony counts of possessing pornographic material.
