‘You are not my friend’: Grieving Kim Cattrall lashes out at Sarah Jessica Parker in response to condolences

A public feud between former costars of a popular HBO series hit a fever pitch in the wake of a personal tragedy.

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker recently reached out to Kim Cattrall via Instagram to offer her “love and condolences” after Cattrall’s brother was found dead earlier this month.

As E! News reported, Cattrall bristled at the message and shot back with in her own post, leaving little doubt about the contentious state of their relationship.

“I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time,” Cattrall wrote in a post directed at Parker.

In a caption to that message, the actress got more specific by accusing her co-star in the Sex and the City series and its two spin-off films of being a “hypocrite” and declaring that the two are not friends.

“My Mom asked me today ‘When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?'” Cattrall wrote.

She continued by insisting that Parker’s message was a “painful reminder of how cruel” she had been “then and now.”

Writing that she intended to make her feelings “VERY clear,” Cattrall posted several pointed comments. The remarks have gained media attention amid existing rumors of bad blood between the two actresses dating back to failed negotiations last year to organize a third film installment in the long-running franchise.

“You are not my family,” Cattrall wrote. “You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”

As CrimeOnline reported, Chris Cattrall was found days on Feb. 4, days after he was reported missing from his home in Canada.
