Bill Cosby’s daughter Ensa dead at 44

Bill Cosby’s daughter Ensa Cosby has died at age 44.

TMZ reports that Ensa died on Friday in Massachusetts of yet-undetermined causes. According to the report, Ensa had struggled with health issues relating to her kidneys and may have been in line for a kidney transplant.

Ensa has been a vocal supporter of her father as the comedian faces multiple accusations of sexual assault. She released a statement in support of her father last year, obtained by TMZ.

“My father has been publicly lynched in the media and my family, my young daughter, my young niece and nephew have had to stand helplessly by and watch the double standard or pretending to protect the rights of some but ignoring the rights of others.”

“I strongly believe my father is innocent of the crimes alleged against him and I believe that racism has played a big role in all aspects of this scandal,” the statement continued.

Bill Cosby lost his son Ennis in 1997, when he was shot and killed in a failed robbery attempt.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
