Hypnotherapist takes $480 from 14-year-old boy in exchange for sex: Cops

A professional hypnotherapist based in Scotland is facing charges that she accepted money from a 14-year-old boy in exchange for sex in a Florida hotel room.

According to the New York Post, 28-year-old Sarah Louise McGill identified herself as Sophia Belle when she struck up a conversation with the boy on the online forum Quora. Investigators claim the two soon began to communicate via text messages and arranged a meeting.

Police in Orlando reportedly learned of the alleged illicit transaction from the boy and his father.

After hearing their complaint, officers say they paid a visit Saturday to the same Mariott hotel room the suspect allegedly met her victim.

Once inside, Orange County police officers say they found cash and condoms stuffed in a safe. The boy allegedly contributed $480 — in $50 and $20 bills — to that stash after he and the suspect had sex.

Police later arrested her on suspicion of lewd or lascivious battery.

As reported by WESH, detectives transported the suspect from the hotel to the Orlando Police Department for questioning related to the alleged crime.

She was booked into jail and released on Monday after posting bond.

As a condition of her release, she was ordered to turn in her passport to limit the risk that she will attempt to flee back to her home in Edinburgh, where she reportedly operated her own hypnotherapy practice.
