An India man made the mistake of trying to take a selfie with a wounded bear on Wednesday after pulling over during a group wedding trip in Odisha.

New York Post reports that the victim, identified as Prabhu Bhatara, stopped to relieve himself in a forest on Wednesday evening when he spotted the bear.

He walked up to the wounded bear and decided to take a selfie, but the bear, sensing danger, attacked Bhatara, causing fatal injuries.

A bystander filmed the incident and shared it with media. According to a local forest ranger, Bhatara died immediately.
