A Canadian woman allegedly took drastic and disgusting action when she was denied access to the restroom at a coffee shop this week.
According to the New York Post, the suspect was captured on video inside a Tim Hortons location in Langley as she squatted in the dining area and defecated onto the floor.
As witnesses and the video indicate, the woman picked up several tissues, pulled down her pants and answered nature’s call.
The woman reportedly picked up the human waste and threw it at the employee who prevented her from using the facilities.
She then allegedly used the tissues to clean herself, throwing the soiled paper toward the service counter.
The suspect was taken into custody a short time later when officers with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police spotted her nearby.
According to Cpl. Holly Largy, the woman “was briefly detained and released on documentation to appear in court at a later date.”
As of the latest reports available, it was still unclear whether authorities would recommend criminal charges.
A statement from a Tim Hortons representative acknowledged the incident and offered some context to the company’s restroom policies.
Bianca Pettinaro said that the chain is “deeply concerned by this video as the safety of our team members and guests is a top priority for us.”
As for the woman’s apparent complaint, Pettinaro said that “in limited cases across the country, restaurants have a restricted access policy for restroom to ensure the well-being of our guests.”
