Reports indicate investigators seized a variety of illicit drugs including about an ounce of heroin, roughly 12 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of crack and narcotic pain relief strips. The estimated combined street value of the drugs topped $5,400.

Both suspects were arrested on suspicion of four counts of possessing a controlled substance with the intent to distribute. At an arraignment hearing on Wednesday, Garvey was additionally charged with probation violation.

“Drug related warrants were prepared for both Gelinas and Garvey as a result of the drugs located in their apartment,” Manchester police said in a press release. “They were arrested at 11:30 p.m. last night by the Windham Police Department at a home in Windham, New Hampshire.”

Garvey and Gelinas were booked into jail and bond was set at $200,000 in both cases.

As reported by WHDH, the female suspect was allegedly under the influence of drugs when she was first interviewed by police. At that time, she reportedly told officers that she saw her son playing with a “clear plastic baggie containing a white rock-like substance” shortly before his death.

“The Manchester Police Department Investigative Division and Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office are actively working on the death investigation, so no additional information is available at this time,” the police statement explained.
