Asia Argento posts Instagram story addressing boyfriend Anthony Bourdain’s death

Asia Argento, the actor and director who was dating Anthony Bourdain when he died of an apparent suicide last week, has claimed to be “fine” in an Instagram story posted on Thursday.

The New York Post reports that Argento published an Instagram story on Thursday geotagged in Berlin. She is shown with an identified female friend, and included the caption “Berlin Sisterhood.”

Another image in the story shows a card with the words “I’m a f—ing mess inside” crossed out, and the phrase “I’m fine” underneath.

Argento met Bourdain in 2016 on the set of his CNN series “Parts Unknown.” She was among the first group of women to publicly accuse megaproducer Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault. Bourdain was fiercely supportive of Argento and became one of the most vocal advocates of the #MeToo movement in the months before his death.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, actress Rose McGowan released a statement to multiple media outlets earlier this week, reportedly on behalf on Argento. In it, she condemned Internet chatter and tabloid reports suggesting that Argento had something to with Bourdain’s apparent decision to end his life, hanging himself in a luxury hotel room in the Alscace region of France.

McGowan also claimed that Bourdain had sought professional mental health treatment before his death and did not follow the doctor’s advice. She additionally said that he and Argento had a “free” relationship.
