Party boat spat ends in bloodshed when one passenger stabs another multiple times in the back: Cops

One passenger aboard a party boat docked at a New York City pier is recovering from injuries he sustained in a stabbing this week.

According to the New York Post, a 41-year-old man was on the Conrucopia Majesty watercraft just off of South Street at about 3 a.m. on Sunday when he became involved in a heated argument with another passenger.

Authorities say the unidentified alleged victim was stabbed multiple times aboard the Cornucopia Majesty yacht off the shore of lower Manhattan.

It was unclear from available updates what the suspected weapon was, but the man reportedly sustained injuries to his back during the incident.

Police initially took two people into custody, as reported by WPIX.

Emergency personnel with the New York Fire Department responded to the boat, where they administered first aid before the man was transported to an area hospital, according to police.

He is expected to survive his injuries. WPIX reported that he was admitted to a medical facility in serious but stable condition.

As of Sunday afternoon, police had not apprehended the suspect in this case.

Investigators say he was wearing a light blue baseball cap and white shorts with pink stripes at the time of the assault.
