MISSING: Girl vanishes from Yellowstone National Park

Authorities are searching for a 14-year-old West Virginia girl who disappeared on an outing with her foster family on August 7, while visiting the Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.

NBC’s 9News reports that Lachaela ”Shay” Putnick was with a temporary foster family on August 7 when she vanished from the Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Shay is originally from Charlotte, West Virginia, but authorities think she may have fled willingly. She has ties to several other cities, including Walton, Florida; Billings, Montana; Denver, Colorado; and North Charleston, West Virginia.

Shay is described as 5-feet-4-inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. She weighs around 130 pounds.
