Playboy model found murdered in home, days after a burglary report

A former Playboy model was found dead of strangulation in her Philadelphia-area condominium.

According to the New York Post, police reported to the Marion Township residence of Christina Carlin-Kraft, 36, for a welfare check, and found the woman dead of ligature strangulation.

Authorities have reportedly said there is no immediate danger to local residents, suggesting that Carlin-Kraft may have been targeted.

Police had been to the home on Saturday responding to a report of a burglary. It is not yet known if the reported robbery is connected to Carlin-Kraft’s death.

According to the New York Daily News, an autopsy has confirmed the woman was strangled.

Carlin-Kraft was a former model who once appeared in Playboy.

She appears to have had one run-in with the law: In 2016, she and a friend allegedly tried to skip out on a bill at the Upper West Side location of the Smith restaurant. When the restaurant manager confronted them, Carlin-Kraft allegedly kicked him in the groin. She later took a plea deal and avoided jail time.

Police had not yet identified any suspects.
