Authorities in Canada say a theft at an Ontario tattoo parlor resulted in the loss of an urn that contained a baby’s ashes.

The deceased baby was reportedly a family member of the shop’s owners.

According to CTV News, police received a report of the property crime at the Midland, Ontario, establishment.

They believe the theft occurred at some point between Tuesday and Friday.

As of the latest updates, police did not have any details about possible suspects.

Reports described the stolen item as a blue ceramic urn adorned with light blue butterflies and flowers. It had a gold-rimmed lid and sat on a brown base, police said.
