Two men claim they assaulted Christine Blasey Ford — not Brett Kavanaugh

Two men have reportedly come forward to claim that they, not Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh, had an “encounter” with Dr. Christine Blasey Ford they believe is behind the sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh.

GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley sent a news release Wednesday night obtained by the New York Post and USA Today that says two unidentified men have claimed they are the people Blasey Ford recalls from a 1982 encounter at a house party in which she claims Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed against her will, pulled off her clothes, and groped her as she struggled against him.

The press release reportedly said that two unidentified men came forward to say they “had the encounter with Dr. Ford in 1982 that is the basis of his complaint,” but did not provide any further details.

There is no indication either of the men will appear at Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings, where Ford’s testimony has been the focus on Thursday.
