A viral video with over 800,000 views has cost a hairstylist his job after he allegedly delivered a roundhouse kick to a young pro-life campaigner at the Life Chain demonstration in Toronto, Canada, on Sunday.
Life Site reports that the person in question has been identified as Jordan Hunt, a now former employee of Noble Studio 101. Hunt is accused of kicking Marie-Claire Bissonnette, a youth coordinator with the Campaign Life Coalition, after she reportedly questioned him about vandalizing pro-life signs with markers.
As Bissonnette questioned Hunt, the conversation turned to abortion rights. Hunt appeared impatient when Bissonnette didn’t agree with his pro-choice assessment on rape. As the victim tried to explain that a baby “is a baby,” Hunt swung his leg up and delivered the kick. He claimed he was attempting to kick her phone, but she declared she would phoning the police.
It’s unclear if Hunt is facing any criminal charges.
A Noble Studio 101 representative told Life Site that the company decided to fire Hunt for his aggressive behavior toward others who share a differing opinion from his.
“We’re four strong women here,” the rep said. “We don’t condone any kind of violence… Everybody has their own opinion and different ways of thinking, but violence is not the answer. He won’t be stepping his foot through the door again.”
