Friday Crime Stories: Real estate mogul abandons sons in school pick-up line to murder wife, flee the country with millions

A Southern California millionaire charged with murdering his wife is believed to have fled the United States with part of his fortune, but police are hoping to catch the accused killer using one of Nancy Grace’s favorite tools — a true crime podcast.

Newport Beach police spokeswoman Jennifer Manzella is the host and producer of “Countdown to Capture,” a six-part podcast series that features detectives sharing their evidence and theories with the hope listeners will help them find 54-year-old Peter Chadwick.

Chadwick was released on bail after his arraignment for the murder of 46-year-old Quee Choo “QC” Chadwick, but he disappeared and forfeited his $2 million dollars bond after several hearings.

Manzella is Nancy’s guest in this “Crime Stories” episode. They are joined by forensics expert Karen Smith, Los Angeles defense lawyer Troy Slayton, Los Angeles psychoanalyst Dr. Bethany Marshall, and Crime Stories reporter Robyn Walensky.
