Community theater director and math teacher lures teen girl to his car to commit lewd act in front of her: Cops

Authorities in New York arrested a theater director on suspicion of masturbating in front of a juvenile girl.

According to Newsday, 35-year-old Robert J. Miller, who also works as a math teacher at an area high school, faces criminal charges including first-degree public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the incident.

Police reports indicate the alleged victim is a 15-year-old girl who said Miller was working as a technical director for a production at the Northport-East Northport Community Theater when he asked her to come to his car with him to assist with an automotive problem.

After allegedly asking her to get behind the wheel, take off her shoe and sock and press the accelerator, police believe he began committing the lewd act just outside the driver’s side door.

The girl reported that he told her to look straight ahead after she first saw him, but said she looked over again a few moments later and realized he was still engaged in the act.

Though the complainant is not a student in the Smithtown Central School District, it released a statement on the matter confirming the teacher was on administrative leave and officials would be working to assist police in their investigation.
