Married NFL Falcons hopeful says he had sex with a 12-year-old little girl inside his home: Police

A former college football star who was recently cut from the Atlanta Falcons roster allegedly admitted to having sex with a 12-year-old girl on Saturday morning.

Ledger-Enquirer reports Justin Crawford, 23, is behind bars without bond after reportedly having sex with a young girl in the living room inside his Columbus, Georgia, home, claiming it was “her idea.” He’s now facing charges of enticing a child for indecent purposes, incest, sodomy, and child molestation.

According to Detective Mark Scruggs, Crawford’s wife, Chakeya Crawford, woke up at 5 a.m. and while walking into the living room, spotted her husband in the living room with an “erect penis,” standing over the little girl.

Chakeya Crawford reportedly called the Ledger-Enquirer, however, and disputed saying she saw her husband with an erection. Instead, she claimed she saw his exposed penis and that he ran immediately to the kitchen. She said he later told her that she scared him, explaining why he ran and covered himself up.

“I did not see anyone having sex, or I would have called police right away,” the wife said.

Chakeya reportedly said she believed Crawford’s story and went back to bed, but later took the girl to her mother. After her mother asked what happened, the little girl reportedly claimed she was asleep in the living room when Crawford approached her and began performing oral sex on her. The victim then said they also had sex, according to Scruggs. The girl’s mother brought her to a hospital for a medical exam and a “sex assault kit” to obtain evidence.

When Crawford was confronted, he initially denied any sexual involvement with the child. He later changed his story but insisted it was the little girl’s idea, according to the detective. In turn, a judge ordered the former football star to remain bars without bond.

Crawford signed on as a free agent with the Atlanta Falcons on May 1. In September, he was cut from the roster.
