[VIDEO] Cops hope the public can help ID vandal who dumped maple syrup on cop cruiser

Authorities in New Hampshire hope tips from the public will help them identify a suspect caught on surveillance camera footage vandalizing a police cruiser.

According to WCAX, the Rindge Police Department believes the man emptied a bottle of maple syrup on the parked SUV.

Authorities shared video of the incident on social media and solicited input from locals who think they recognize the man.

“We are reaching out to the public to provide any information in identifying the male subject int he provided picture and video who was involved in the vandalism of the police cruisers and possibly the town common,” the agency wrote in a Facebook post published this week.

In addition to this incident, local law enforcement believes the same suspect could be behind several other local acts of vandalism. One of the other possibly related incidents occurred at an area church.

Police are asking anyone with information related to the vandalism to contact them by calling 603-355-2000 or by leaving an anonymous tip online.
