Groom-to-be dies after mysterious bachelor party cruise ship fall

Just weeks before his wedding, a 29-year-old man died after a fall on a Bahamas-bound cruise ship while celebrating his bachelor party.

The Palm Beach Post reports that Christopher McGrory fell while he was on a Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line ship on its way to Freeport from Palm Beach on Friday night. The specifics of the fall are not yet known, but the Coast Guard reportedly sent a rescue boat to retrieve McGrory and bring him to shore before he was transported St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

McGrory was set to wed his girlfriend Jessica Arnett on December 1. Jean Arnett, Jessica’s grandmother, told the Palm Beach Post that she had received scant details about the incident that led to his death, but did know that McGrory’s brother was among the wedding party aboard the cruise ship.

“He was the love of her life,” Jean Arnett said about her granddaughter and McGrory.

McGrory’s fiancee posted a message on Facebook revealing that he had died in a tragic accident, and asking for prayers.
