UPDATE: Police confront mother after missing toddler’s clothes & item of interest found in dumpster

As police continue to search for missing Texas toddler who reportedly vanished Sunday morning, they located the little girl’s clothing and an item of interest in a dumpster.

ABC reports that 21-yea-old Tiaundra Christon, who claimed she left her daughter, Hazana Anderson, 2, in a stroller for a few minutes alone before the little girl vanished on Sunday, was confronted by authorities after state investigators found the little girl’s clothing and an item wrapped in a black bag in a dumpster.

According to police, the clothes investigators found matched the clothes Christon said the toddler was last seen in, but authorities obtained evidence that Christon herself “was handling those items,” including the object in the bad in which Christon denied having any knowledge of.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Christon said she left Hazana in her stroller at around 8 a.m. on Sunday at Gabbard Park in College Station. She claimed she went to her car in a nearby parking lot to get a bottle. When she returned a few minutes later, Hazana was missing. Police combed the park thoroughly on Sunday but didn’t locate her.

Christon is now behind bars facing charges of child endangerment and making a false report to police. She’s being held on a $200,000 bond. College station authorities stated that Christon “was not providing truthful information regarding the incident.”

According to court documents, Christon denied knowing anything about her daughter’s whereabouts.

Police also said they felt the details Christon gave, including what time she supposedly arrived at the park and what she did while at the park that didn’t seem to match up.

Meanwhile, Hazana remains missing. College Station authorities are asking the public to come forward if they have any knowledge, no matter how small, surrounding the recent activities of Christon and/or the little girl.

“Investigators are specifically asking for the public’s help with information about recent activity or travels of Tiaundra Kae Christon and/or Hazana Anderson. This information, however insignificant it may seem, could be very important in helping us to locate Hazana, and our top priority and desire continues to be finding her.”

Hazana is a black female who stands three feet tall and weighs around 28 pounds. She has brown eyes, black hair, and has a dark birthmark on her left big toe. She was last seen wearing a black “girl squad” shirt, cream pants, an olive green jacket, a purple beanie and pink shoes.

Anyone with any information on Hazana’s whereabouts is urged to contact authorities at 979-764-3600.
