Fugitive wanted on child sex charges wears ‘Father of the Year’ shirt when cops catch up with him: Reports

Authorities in Florida say law enforcement officers were able to track down a fugitive wanted on child sex charges in Ohio.

According to Fox News, 50-year-old Clarence Sheese was inopportunely clad in a “Father of the Year” T-shirt when Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at a Fleming Island address on Monday.

Officers determined where Sheese was believed to be living after receiving a tip about the wanted man’s whereabouts.

Along with U.S. marshals, local authorities arrested him on an outstanding warrant for a charge of fugitive from justice in connection to initial counts related to child sex offenses.

The sheriff’s office posted a social media update confirming the arrest and including an image of Sheese during the arrest.

“To those who target Clay County citizens, for those who flee here to avoid capture of crime and to those who harbor such criminals, we will come get you,” the agency warned.

The statement went on to reiterate that the “community won’t tolerate criminal behavior,” specifically “fugitives who flee from other states into Clay County, because they are wanted for child sex crimes.”

After calling Sheese’s alleged decision to live as a fugitive “a bad one,” the sheriff’s department provided some details of the suspect’s arrest.

“With the great work of the United States Marshal Service, coupled with our agency and some community tips, Mr. Sheese is now incarcerated in our jail.”

Sheese was wanted in Ohio on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl, as reported by WOKV.
