R. Kelly is facing mulitple sex abuse charges following years of allegations that he exploited and abused women, and may have engaged in sex acts with a minor.

The Chicago Sun Times obtained court records showing that Kelly has been charged with 10 counts of criminal sex abuse.

It is not clear at this time what specific allegations are connected to the slew of charges.

The accusations against Kelly were the focus of a Lifetime documentary, “Surviving R. Kelly,” that aired in January. Earlier this month, high-profile attorney Michael Avenetti claimed to be in possession of a sex tape that allegedly showed Kelly engaging in sex acts with a 14-year-old girl.

According to the report, prosecutors were working to obtain an arrest warrant for Kelly as of Friday afternoon.
