URGENT: 11-year-old girl missing in Alabama

Authorities in DeKalb County, Alabama, are asking for the public’s help in the search for a missing girl.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office announced in an alert on their Facebook page that 11-year-old  Amberly Lee Barnett has been missing since Friday evening. According to the post, she was last seen in the Mt. Vernon community, which appears to be in northern Alabama.

The circumstances of her disappearance are not known. Amberly is 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 98 pounds. She is caucasian with blond hair and blue eyes.
