Drunk driver slams his Maserati into occupied home, causing ‘extensive damage,’ cops say

Authorities in Massachusetts say a man was arrested after the sports car he was driving while intoxicated crashed into a home in Southborough on Sunday morning.

According to WBZ, Rockland resident Felipe Deafilvapinheiro slammed his 2011 Maserati into a residence on Cordaville Road. Though the home was reportedly occupied at the time, police say no one inside was injured.

Southborough police provided an update on Facebook, complete with photos of the “extensive damage” caused by the crash.

The agency reported that the driver “was placed under arrest and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence; negligent operation of a motor vehicle; failure to stop or yield; marked lanes violation; and unsafe operation of a motor vehicle.

“Mr. Deafilvapinheiro’s 2011 Maserati left the roadway and struck the corner of a house on Cordaville Road, causing extensive damage to the home,” police wrote. “No one inside the home was injured.”
