Baby girl found dead & buried inside flower pot at cemetery, police need your help in identifying her

A deceased baby girl was found inside a flower pot at a Texas cemetery, and police need help in finding out who she was and who left her there.

5News reports workers at the Perry Cemetery in Carrollton noticed a flower pot out of place on March 11. When they emptied the pot, they discovered the body of a baby girl buried in the soil. After authorities arrived to the scene, they transported the baby to the local medical examiner’s office.

Carrollton police spokesperson, Jolene DeVito, said the baby weighed six pounds and still had her umbilical cord attached. The infant’s race hasn’t yet been determined and it’s unclear whether she was born alive.

“Her race could not definitively be determined,” DeVito said. “We are awaiting further test results to determine whether she was born alive.”
