‘Boss’ snorts cocaine, shoots employee in the shower because he was sleeping with his wife: Report

Authorities in Texas say a man sought deadly revenge against an employee he believed had been having a sexual affair with his wife.

According to the New York Post, 23-year-old Edwin Figueroa was arrested this week in connection with a fatal shooting at an apartment in southwest Houston late Wednesday evening.

Police believe he drank and used cocaine prior to paying 22-year-old Rafael Nunez Serrano a visit at his home. Upon entering, Figueroa allegedly pulled out a handgun he brought with him and shot the victim in the shower.

Serrano reportedly survived long enough to drag himself outside of the apartment building and into the parking lot where witnesses saw him and contacted authorities, as reported by KTRK.

En route to an area hospital, he reportedly told medical personnel aboard the ambulance that his “boss” fired the shot. He was declared dead during surgery a short time later. The shooting reportedly came after a fight between the two men erupted over rumors of the affair.

Officers from the Houston Police Department tracked down the suspect and arrested him as detectives conducted their initial homicide investigation.

Police records indicate Figueroa is expected to face a criminal count of murder.

Following an initial court appearance, a judge set his bond at $100,000. Another court date is set for early next week.
