Man beats pregnant girlfriend to death after serving a year behind bars for assault: Cops

Authorities in Oklahoma say a man is accused of beating his pregnant girlfriend to death earlier this week.

According to KFOR, Tulsa police officers responded to an apartment complex at about 5 p.m. on Monday after receiving the report of a possibly suicidal person at the location.

Upon arriving, officers reportedly found 21-year-old Allyssa Fielding, who was six months pregnant, obviously injured on the floor. Police indicate Wilson’s mother was at the location and attempted to revive the victim through CPR.

She was transported from the scene to an area hospital with injuries including facial fractures, a brain bleed, a collapsed lung and various abrasions.

Both she and her unborn baby were reportedly declared dead a short time later.

Court records show Fielding obtained an order of protection against the suspect two years ago and “Wilson served about a year of jail time” following an earlier assault conviction.

Tulsa Police Sgt. Shane Tuell said the couple appears to have reconciled since that time.

“For whatever reason, either they believe that they can change that person or they believe there’s better things to come, or that person has something to offer them,” he said of the possible motivations for reuniting with an abusive partner.

In the end, however, he said that “the only thing that person is probably going to offer you is an early grave” as in this case.

Wilson is expected to face criminal charges including murder in the first degree and assault with the intent to kill.
