Authorities in Alabama say a man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and killing the male suspect’s estranged wife.
According to Fox News, 42-year-old Samuel Sullivan and his ex-wife, 44-year-old Jennifer Sullivan, are accused of killing Terri Sullivan, who was last seen on January 20. The victim was reportedly in the process of filing for divorce from Samuel Sullivan.
Police say the victim accused her husband of domestic abuse as well as raising chickens to be used in cockfights.
Her burned car was found with her body inside, police say. She is believed to have died as a result of blunt force trauma.
Officers from the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department were involved in the arrest of her suspected killers.
Investigators say they tracked the suspects via cellphone positioning that connected them to the location where Terri Sullivan was allegedly kidnapped as well as where her body was found.
Both are expected to face criminal charges including one count of capital murder and one count of kidnapping in the first degree.
