The man standing trial for multiple murders could have a celebrity take the stand against him, according to recent reports.

Known in media reports as the “Hollywood Ripper,” Michael Gargiulo has been implicated in the death of 22-year-old Ashley Ellerin, among others. As it happened, actor Ashton Kutcher had been planning to go on a date with her on the night of her death in 2001.

When he knocked on her door shortly before 11 p.m. that evening, he said there was no answer. After looking in a window and seeing what he initially believed to be wine spilled on the carpet, Kutcher reportedly contacted police with his concerns.
