The boyfriend of “Nashville” star Hayden Panettiere was arrested in California on suspicion of domestic violence, according to reports.
TMZ published an exclusive story this week detailing the allegations against Brian Hickerson. Police reportedly believe he was out with Panettiere for a night of drinking in Los Angeles on Wednesday before returning to their home.
An argument allegedly ensued, resulting in charges against Hickerson after police arrived at the location at about 2 a.m. the following day.
Initial reports did not specify who called police to report an incident at the residence.
Hickerson was reportedly arrested at the location after an initial investigation found that he was the aggressor in the dispute.
Court records indicate he has previously been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with an alleged altercation with his father, David.
In connection with the recent arrest, a Los Angeles Police Department statement indicated he is expected to be charged with a criminal count of domestic violence, as reported by Fox News. He was reportedly locked up with bond set at $50,000.
Hickerson and Panettiere have been romantically linked since last summer, when he was credited with jumping to action as she was mobbed with photographers.
