Do you know this baby? Police are searching for ‘mom’ after she drops injured girl off, never returns

Philadelphia police are looking for a woman who reportedly dropped a toddler girl off with what authorities are calling a “witness,” then never returned to pick her up.

According to a Facebook post by the Philadelphia Police Department, an unknown woman handed the little girl over to the witness at around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, off of the 3100 block of E Street. When the woman didn’t return, the witness contacted police around 20 minutes later.

The little girl is currently safe an in an area hospital, but authorities need assistance in determining who the child’s mother is.
