WANTED: Dad breaks into home to snatch 8-year-old daughter, on the run with her and his 10-month-old son, cops say

Authorities in Florida are searching for a 34-year-old man accused of snatching his 8-year-old daughter, Janessa, from a home in Hillsborough County over the weekend.

According to Fox News, Tawfik Dimion Hart allegedly forced his way into the residence, pushing the young girl’s caretaker before escaping with the child.

Along with Janessa, police believe Tawfik Jr., the suspect’s 10-month-old son, is also with his father on the run.

In a statement on the matter, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said the three are believed to be traveling in a 2008 Cadillac DeVille, likely across state lines. Police say the sedan is white with a red roof and Georgia license plate number RMV7486.

Hart is described as about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing roughly 194 pounds. He and the children might have been headed to Tifton County, Georgia.

While authorities do not believe the kids are any physical danger and Hart is not legally prohibited from seeing them, he is wanted on potential charges of burglary with battery and interference with child custody, according to WFLA.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the suspect or his whereabouts to contact authorities by calling 911 or the agency directly at 813-247-8200.
