BREAKING: Remains found at residence connected to possible baby-snatcher identified as missing 19-year-old woman

The human remains found at a residence in Chicago have been identified as missing Marlen Ochoa-Uriostegui, a 19-year-old mother of one who was eight months pregnant when she disappeared on April 23.

Fox 32 News reports that remains found at West 77th place in Chicago have been positively identified as the missing young woman. As CrimeOnline previously reported, Ochoa-Uriostegui’s car was found abandoned not far from the property where human remains were discovered. Four people at the residence have been taken in for questioning, and neighbors reportedly said that one of those people is a 46-year-old woman that Ochoa-Uriostegui is believed to have met in a Facebook group, and arranged to meet to either swap or take donations of baby items the woman offered.

Earlier reports have indicated that the 46-year-old woman is the same person who claimed to have given birth to a baby on the day Ochoa-Uriostegui disappeared. That newborn is reportedly on life support with a brain injury and the missing woman’s family told Fox 32 News that DNA tests have shown that the baby is Ochoa-Uriostegui’s.

Authorities have released few details about the ongoing investigation. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
