The brother of a real estate mogul and reality TV star is among the American tourists who died suddenly and unexpectedly in the Dominican Republic in recent months.

TMZ reports that the brother of “Shark Tank” star Barbara Corcoran, John Corcoran, was found dead in his hotel room during a visit to the Caribbean tourist destination in April.

Barbara Corcoran told TMZ that her brother had been visiting the Dominican Republic in April of this year when his traveling companion found him unresponsive in their shared suite. Corcoran said that John, 60, died of a heart attack, but that there was no autopsy.

At this time, it is not known exactly where John Corcoran was staying when he died. The FBI is reportedly involved in an investigation of a spate of recent deaths in the Caribbean tourist destination, following reports of six American tourists who died while staying at resorts. Four of those deaths have been tied to the Baha Principe resort, which has multiple locations, and two are linked to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana.

Corcoran, who has nine siblings, told TMZ that the circumstances of her “favorite brother”‘s death are unclear. It is not known at this time if John Corcoran’s death is being investigated by authorities in the United States or the Dominican Republic.
