SHOCKING DETAILS: Deputy molests son of ex-boyfriend, who is a high-ranking deputy in the same department, cops say

Newly released court documents offer some troubling details surrounding allegations that a sheriff’s deputy engaged in a sexual relationship with a juvenile male victim.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Shauna Bishop, a 45-year-old Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office deputy, was arrested on suspicion that she molested the 16-year-old boy. Investigators noted in initial statements that the suspect did not meet the alleged victim through her role as a law enforcement officer.

According to an exclusive report by the Sacramento Bee, additional details and accusations have surfaced ahead of Bishop’s scheduled arraignment this week on four felony criminal counts and one misdemeanor related to unlawful sexual conduct involving a minor.

One of the most significant factors to emerge came in Folsom Police Detective Melanie Catanio’s statement Monday, which emphasized and clarified the earlier detail regarding how Bishop knew the teen.

“Saying she met the victim through her job implies that she met the victim on duty,” Catanio said. “I know that she did have some roles within the sheriff’s department of working with youth, so it was really important that we go the message out to the parents of children who may have been involved in those programs that this is not where this is originating from.”

The alleged victim was further identified as the son of her ex-boyfriend, who is reportedly a high-ranking deputy for the same agency.

Records also contain sometimes graphic depictions of the alleged sexual acts between the suspect and teen boy. Investigators believe Bishop visited the victim about two months ago, around the same time she broke up with his father.

The teen’s father reportedly told his ex-wife — the boy’s mother — that he was concerned about Bishop’s relationship. The mother did not immediately share those fears after looking into the matter, as court records allege.

“I found nothing that led me to believe there was more to the relationship than what it was,” the woman reportedly told authorities investigating the case.

In fact, she reportedly became friends with Bishop and even confided in her when the alleged victim began using drugs and alcohol.

The suspect allegedly spent the night at the home after that conversation, secretly entering the boy’s room.

He reportedly told police that she “had like one knee on my bad and gave me a hug” after coming in to give him a glass of water.

“Then she started kissing on me,” the boy reportedly said. “While she was kissing me, she was touching my side and I was touching her back and then her legs. Then she moved from touching my side, to my thighs, and began rubbing my penis while she was kissing me.”

The boy said she stopped the behavior when she heard his mother approach, but quickly resumed after the other woman left.

From there, he said she began performing oral sex on him while periodically checking the door to his bedroom. Eventually, he said the two had sexual intercourse and she left the home after he went to school the following morning.

In a phone conversation between the two that lasted more than an hour, police say Bishop “blamed them having sex on porn” and the fantasies that viewing such material had sparked.

After searching her smartphone, investigators say they found evidence of “several pornographic web searches” for material that “corresponded with the sexual acts performed by Bishop” as described in the alleged victim’s police testimony.

According to the teen, Bishop has two kids — a boy his age and a 20-year-old girl — and he is concerned for their well-being.

“I really wish this would all just go away,” he reportedly said.
