Beth Chapman: Wife of ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ in medically induced coma

Following a long battle with health issues, reality television star Beth Chapman has reportedly been placed in a medically induced coma.

Her husband, Duane “Dog” Chapman, confirmed the news in a social media post, as reported by CNN.

He shared a similar call for prayers in a Facebook post sharing an article about the development as well as a tweet this weekend.

Reports indicate the 51-year-old bail bond agent was in Honolulu, Hawaii, and was transported to Queen’s Medical Center where she was placed in the intensive care unit.

Hawaii served as the backdrop for many of the couple’s television appearances, dating back more than a decade to the original series.

They were also open about Beth’s cancer diagnosis and its reappearance last year. Earlier this year, she was reportedly hospitalized for treatment of fluid in her lungs.

In recent promotions, the couple could be seen announcing their newest series, “Dog’s Most Wanted,” which has been set to premiere on WGN.
