WATCH: Bumbling suspect seen falling through ceiling, literally into arms of police

Authorities in England scored an easier-than-usual arrest recently when they visited a Manchester home, apparently in search of a suspect.

The incident reportedly occurred during a house party and one attendee began recording shortly after police arrived and announced themselves, according to LAD Bible.

According to 24-year-old Matty Walsh, as soon as he heard authorities he realized another partygoer had apparently vanished. He said he did not know the individual or where he went, but captured the man’s surprise re-entry while officers were standing on the ground level of the home.

Walsh described hearing a conspicuous creak coming from the ceiling, followed shortly thereafter by feet poking out of a newly formed hole through to the attic above.

“We were all having a laugh about it, I don’t know what the coppers thought of it,” Walsh said.

As AOL reported, the Greater Manchester Police Department offered a public statement on the incident.

The police spokesperson said that “officers responded to reports of a domestic assault in Rochdale” early on the morning of June 1, adding that a male subject “was detained at a nearby house in Ennerdale Road and arrested on suspicion of assault and breaching a restraining order.”
