Woman and 4-year-old son found slain in home; cops looking for her allegedly abusive ex: Reports

Authorities in Arkansas say a woman and her 4-year-old son were found dead on Tuesday, hours after loved ones reported them missing and two days after they were last seen.

According to KATV, Camden police have named a suspect but had not apprehended him as of the most recent reports available.

Reports identify 23-year-old Jory Worthen as a man who previously dated the female victim, Alyssa Cannon. He might be driving her vehicle, police say.

Authorities indicate the victims were found inside their home in the 1300 block of Ronald Drive in Camden. Initial reports did not identify the juvenile victim.

Family members reportedly told police that they had not heard from the mother and son since Saturday.

According to records from the Ouachita County Circuit Court, Cannon filed for an order of protection against Worthen in 2017 and claimed at the time that he threatened her life and was physically abusive toward her, as reported by KFSM.

Investigators are looking for Worthen and Cannon’s 2007 Honda Accord — a white sedan with Arkansas license plate number 921YBE — and warn citizens to treat him as armed and dangerous.
