Authorities in Colorado say a woman has been arrested on suspicion of a hit and run crash that left a motorcyclist dead last week.

The incident occurred on Thursday along a stretch of Interstate 25 near Harmony Road in Fort Collins, as reported by KCNC.

The 34-year-old suspect, identified as Kassy Mae Winburn, is expected to face criminal charges related to the traffic fatality, though additional details regarding her arrest and the identity of the other motorist were not immediately available.

An update from KDVR cited the Larimer County Coroner’s Office report listing the deceased as Joseph Kroiss, a 38-year-old resident of Greely.

Winburn is expected to face criminal charges including a count of leaving the scene of a crash.

Court records provide some further insight into the suspect’s previous legal troubles. Specifically, she was reportedly arrested for driving under the influence in Loveland about five years ago.

Just over two weeks prior to her latest arrest, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation provided information indicating she was arrested for driving a vehicle after her license had been revoked.
