Manhunt for fugitive parents after child found dead, three more in critical condition — and newborn infant missing

Authorities are searching for a couple on the run after one of their children was found dead, and three more in critical condition.

NBC News reports that the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department announced in a release that Hakim Mustafa Moore, 27, and Robin Alexander, 29, are considered fugitives and are believed to have fled to St. Louis from Jackson County, Oklahoma, where three of their children were found in critical condition.

Police did not reveal how or where the fourth child died. The release also said that a fifth child born in a hotel room is also missing, and was never documented.

“As such, we do not have any information or photos” of the baby, the police statement posted to Facebook reads.

The fugitives had previously been charged with multiple counts of child abuse and child neglect, and reportedly failed to appear for a court date.

“During the investigation, the Altus Police Department received information that both subjects had fled to St. Louis, Missouri trying to evade capture,” the statement reads.

Authorities have not released the ages of the children, and said that the three critically injured children are in the custody of state officials in Oklahoma.

Police released photos of the suspects but cautioned that the either or both could have changed their appearance, as the photos are five years old.

It is not known at this time if Moore and Alexander are suspecting of murdering the dead child.

This is a developing story. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
