Man allegedly holds woman captive in hotel room, shoots her up with heroin and tells deputies they’re ‘lovers’

Authorities in Florida say a man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping a woman and forcibly injecting her with illegal narcotics.

According to WFTS, 49-year-old J.D. Millsap is accused of taking a woman to a hotel room in Largo where he held her against her will and gave her heroin intravenously.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department was reportedly notified of a disturbance at the location after the alleged victim sent a text message to her wife alerting her to the situation. Arrest records allege she told the other woman that she was afraid and unable to leave the room.

Deputies responded to the room a short time later where Millsap reportedly attempted to prevent them from entering.

After contacting a member of the housekeeping staff with no luck, authorities say the hotel’s manager was ultimately able to gain access.

Upon entry, deputies say they found the suspect and victim with Millsap asserting that the two were “lovers” and planned to travel to Michigan together.

An initial investigation led the victim to reveal multiple locations on her body bearing apparent marks from the heroin injections.

Deputies arrested Millsap at the scene. He is expected to face criminal charges of aggravated battery and false imprisonment.
